More about Yan-Li

I was born in Chifeng city of Inner Mongolia, China in 1978. After I obtained a B.Sc. degree in the Department of Chemistry at Nankai University in July 2000, I began my graduate study at the same university under the supervision of Prof. Yu Liu. In September 2002, I was recommended to join the Ph.D program and got my Ph.D. degree in July 2005. My research focuses on physical organic and supramolecular chemistry, mostly with the modification, recognition and assembly of cyclodextrins. I joined the group of Prof. J. Fraser Stoddart at UCLA as a postdoctoral scholar in October 2005. Currently, my research is mainly on molecular electronics and molecular machines. Besides working in the laboratory, I have a lot of hobbies such as reading novels, seeing films, listening to music, traveling and so on. Especially, I love my family very much.
