I was born in Illinois where I grew up in a little town called Tinley Park. The only thing it is famous for is the World Music Theater (now called the Tweeter Center). I received my BSc at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where I majored in Chemistry and performed undergraduate research under the supervision of Dr. Steven C. Zimmerman. I moved to Los Angeles in August of 2005, where I started my career as a graduate student in the Stoddart labs in the area of molecular electronics.
While not in the lab I enjoy playing guitar, running, swimming, going to the beach, road trips, skiing, camping, and most things outdoors.
